Hawaii 2010
Dining
The Rotterdam Dining Room - upper level is for fixed dining (early at 6 p.m. or late at 8:15 p.m., assigned seating), lower level is for anytime dining (5:45 - 9 p.m., seated as you arrive). We like meeting new people and having the same server every night so we had late-fixed dining. Our table was on the left at the back by the windows.

Our tablemates on a formal night, l-r: Minnie Rose, Bob and Gloria (from Washington State), Dale, Barbara and Chip. Minnie works at the front desk - she and Chip developed a bit of a friendship and Chip asked if she could join us one night for dinner (we had an empty chair at our table). Her boss okayed it and we had a delightful guest who answered many of our questions about how things are run. Minnie is from the Phillipines and has 3 children who stay with her mother while Minnie is on assignment.

Because we have sailed on Holland America before, we are Mariners and were invited to the Mariner Society Brunch. Dale and Chip join in the Captain's toast.
